Solemn Faith International Church News
The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Matthew James Ele-Ojo, has declared that God will withhold no blessing from those whose lives bring Him pleasure, urging believers to embrace godliness as the pathway to divine favour, greatness and eternal hope.
The cleric made the declaration today during the church’s Men’s Day celebration as part of the Devoted Men International Conference 2026.

The colourful event brought together members and guests for a special service dedicated to celebrating and challenging men to live lives of purpose and spiritual excellence.
Addressing the congregation, Pastor Ele-Ojo stressed that the Men’s Day gathering was not merely a celebration of men but a divine opportunity to remind them of their responsibility to honour God through righteous living.
According to him, when God is pleased with a person’s life, He will not reserve any blessing from such an individual.
Preaching on the theme, “The Mysteries of Godliness,” with scriptural references from 1 Timothy 3:16 and Joel 2:21–24, the pastor explained that true godliness is a daily lifestyle characterized by sincere faith, holy character and upright conduct.
He noted that genuine Christianity is reflected more in transformed lives than in religious activities.
Speaking further during the Men’s Day service, Pastor Ele-Ojo stated that “the assurance of eternity is the cure for the captivity of fear and death,” emphasizing that believers who understand their eternal destiny will live boldly and faithfully regardless of life’s challenges.
The preacher identified the assurance of eternity as one of the major mysteries of godliness, drawing references from 2 Timothy 2:19–22, 2 Timothy 4:6–7, Acts 7:59–60 and Philippians 1:21. He explained that confidence in eternal life empowers Christians to remain steadfast in their faith despite trials and persecution.
He also highlighted eternal identity as another mystery of godliness, explaining that those who belong to God carry a distinct spiritual identity that separates them from the world. Such an identity, he said, becomes evident through consistent obedience and unwavering commitment to God’s word.
During the Men’s Day message, Pastor Ele-Ojo cited biblical figures including Abraham, David, Moses, Jesus Christ and the Apostles as examples of men whose godly lifestyles earned them divine approval and extraordinary accomplishments.
Their lives, he said, demonstrate that greatness is inseparable from genuine devotion to God.
On the fulfilment of greatness, the cleric taught that every lasting achievement begins with godliness.
According to him, greatness is not built on influence or material wealth alone but on a life that continually honours God and reflects His character.
Offering practical guidance to the congregation, he urged believers to identify and overcome personal sins, avoid deceptive and enticing words capable of leading them astray, and flee every appearance of ungodliness.
He maintained that spiritual discipline remains essential for anyone seeking lasting success in life.
The Men’s Day sermon also featured several thought-provoking declarations from the pastor. Among them were: “Godly living is the foundation for wealthy and healthy living,” “Your life cannot command honour from God until it brings honour to God,” and “Nothing kills greatness like wickedness.”
Pastor Ele-Ojo further warned that people should not envy the temporary prosperity of the wicked, declaring, “If you know their end, you won’t be bothered by what they earned.” He added that resisting deceptive influences is key to avoiding destructive consequences, saying, “If you are not enticed by their words, you will not get entangled by their works.”
The Men’s Day celebration was also marked by spirited worship led by the church choir, Solemn Voice, alongside numerous testimonies from members who shared experiences of God’s faithfulness and intervention in their lives.
The atmosphere throughout the service was filled with thanksgiving, praise and renewed commitment to Christian living.
As the Men’s Day programme concluded, worshippers left with a renewed challenge to pursue godliness as the foundation for divine favour, greatness and eternal reward.
The conference reinforced the message that God delights in people whose lives honour Him and that such individuals can confidently expect His abundant blessings without reservation.
