Solemn Faith International Church News
The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Pastor Matthew James Ele-Ojo, has declared that it is God’s desire and duty to greatly increase His people, urging Christians to embrace the biblical principles required to sustain divine increase.
He made the declaration during Sunday’s service at the church auditorium, Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, while concluding Part Four of his sermon titled “Sustaining the Realm of Ceaseless Increase.”
Preaching from Psalm 100:4 and Jeremiah 30:19, Pastor Ele-Ojo explained that although God delights in increasing His children, believers must take responsibility for preserving and sustaining the blessings they receive through obedience to His Word.
He cited biblical figures including Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, Jesus Christ and the Apostles as practical examples of individuals who experienced and sustained extraordinary increase because they walked in obedience, faith and divine principles.
According to the cleric, sustaining continuous increase begins with maintaining divine order in every aspect of life.
Quoting scriptures from 1 Corinthians 14, 1 Kings 18, Acts 1 and John 6, he stressed that God is a God of order and that disorder hinders lasting increase.
Pastor Ele-Ojo also identified thanksgiving as another major key to ceaseless increase, describing it as appreciating God for His goodness, mercy and mighty works. He urged believers to continually thank God for the forgiveness of sins, divine healing, protection from destruction, His loving-kindness and the daily provision of good things.
Speaking further, he reminded the congregation that, “God’s duty is to greatly increase His people, but it is our responsibility to sustain it,” adding that true increase is measured not merely by biological growth but by lives transformed and positively impacted.
He also warned believers not to allow present challenges erase the memory of God’s previous interventions, noting that a thankful heart continually attracts divine blessings.
The General Overseer further declared that God teaches His people to profit when they remain grateful for His benefits, urging Christians to make thanksgiving a daily lifestyle as a pathway to continuous favour, prosperity and increase.
Earlier in the service, Pastor Mrs. Hope Matthew delivered a message titled “Sustaining the Ceaseless Flow of Increase,” drawing her text from Psalm 115:14 and Jeremiah 30:19. She explained that genuine increase always produces lifting, greatness, abundance and multiplication in the lives of God’s people.
She identified giving as one of the principal keys to sustaining increase, encouraging believers to give willingly, cheerfully and with sincere hearts.
According to her, giving should first honour God and His kingdom before extending to family members, spiritual leaders and others in need, while emphasizing that lasting increase often begins with faithful stewardship of little.
Pastor Mrs. Matthew also encouraged members to combine giving with praise and thanksgiving, stressing that increase is sustained by God’s grace rather than human strength.
She warned that as God enlarges His people, they must remain humble and avoid allowing prosperity to draw them away from Him.
She noted that many people continue to desire more despite experiencing increase because human needs naturally expand with growth.
However, she prayed that the needs of believers would never exceed the increase God grants them, reaffirming that since God is the One who gives increase, He is also able to preserve and sustain it.
The service featured powerful ministrations by the church choir, Solemn Voice, alongside numerous testimonies from worshippers who shared accounts of God’s faithfulness, healing, breakthroughs and remarkable interventions in their lives.
