Solemn Faith International Church News
The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Federal Housing Estate, No. 14, Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Mathew James Eleojoh, has declared that life thrives on the platform of divine secrets, urging Christians to pursue godliness, divine knowledge and a Christ-like lifestyle.
Pastor Eleojoh made the declaration during the church service while delivering a message titled “The Mysteries of Godliness,” with biblical references drawn from 2 Timothy 2:19–22 and 1 Timothy 3:16.
Explaining the meaning of godliness, the cleric described it as living a God-like or Christ-like life daily and in every aspect of human endeavour.
He referenced Acts 11:26, Galatians 2:20 and Philippians 1:20 to emphasise the importance of reflecting Christ in one’s character and conduct.
He identified three areas that Christians must carefully guard: the glory of God, the gold of God and the girl of God.
He noted that the glory of God must not be taken for granted, while material possessions and relationships must also be handled according to God’s principles.
According to him, the mysteries of godliness include divine presence, divine secrets, the fulfilment of greatness, divine escape and all-round profiting.
Citing the lives of biblical figures such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph, Pastor Eleojoh explained that divine secrets and obedience to God’s instructions played significant roles in their journeys and eventual accomplishments.
He stressed that divine presence is essential for a believer’s success and preservation, while divine secrets provide direction and insight for navigating life’s challenges.
He also noted that God’s presence can bring deliverance from danger and open the way for the fulfilment of one’s destiny.
Pastor Eleojoh further taught that godliness produces all-round profit, drawing from Ecclesiastes 5:9, Isaiah 48:17 and 1 Timothy 4:8–15. He encouraged Christians to pursue spiritual growth alongside their earthly responsibilities.
On how to live a godly life, the pastor identified the possession of true knowledge as a fundamental requirement.
He emphasised that knowledge must be applied through total separation from ungodliness, submission to God’s will and a lifestyle that distinguishes believers from the world.
He also urged Christians to discipline their eyes, make firm decisions to live according to God’s standards and maintain a steadfast heart.
He stressed the importance of the Holy Spirit, noting that believers need divine empowerment to live consistently according to God’s will.
In his concluding exhortations, Pastor Eleojoh described godliness as the foundation for true loveliness and declared that living like Christ should not merely mean sharing in Christ’s experience but ultimately ending one’s journey with Christ.
He further stated that the profit of godliness is divine presence and that it takes divine presence to have confidence about the future.
He warned that nothing destroys greatness like ungodliness, citing the biblical account of Gehazi as an example.
The cleric also cautioned believers against making decisions solely on the basis of difficult circumstances, noting that famine should not automatically be considered a criterion for relocation.
He emphasised that God’s grace is not a licence to continue in sin but an empowerment to abandon a sinful lifestyle.
“Life thrives on the platform of divine secrets,” Pastor Eleojoh declared, urging the congregation to seek God’s presence, understand His will and live by the principles of godliness.
The service was also marked by a solemn spiritual atmosphere and testimonies which the church described as remarkable and inspiring, further underscoring the message of faith, divine intervention and godly living.
