The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Home of Praise, Pastor Mathew Eleojo James, has charged Christians to live glorified lives that reflect their identity as ambassadors of God on earth.

Pastor James gave the charge on Sunday at the church auditorium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, during the grand finale of the KABOD 2026 Glory Convention , a week-long spiritual programme organised by the church.

Speaking on the theme, “Living a Glorified Life,” with biblical texts drawn from John 12:28 and 1 Corinthians 6:20, the cleric said Christians must deliberately cultivate a lifestyle that sustains the glory of God in their lives.

According to him, living a glorified life goes beyond outward appearance or material accomplishments, stressing that it involves maintaining a consistent relationship with God, walking in divine direction, making sacrifices and living in a manner that pleases the Lord.

He identified five major principles for sustaining a glorified life, including living a life that pleases God at all times, remaining open to divine direction, embracing a sacrificial lifestyle, developing solid intimacy with God through the Holy Spirit, and cultivating a lifestyle of praise.

Pastor James explained that divine direction was essential for believers who desired to fulfil God’s purpose, warning that decisions based on assumptions could lead to spiritual and physical setbacks.

“Direction is not an assumption walk, but a conviction walk. To assume is to be consumed,” he said, urging Christians to allow God to guide their decisions and daily activities.

He further declared that “nobody sustains glory by assumption, but by direction,” adding that believers who desire victory must learn to depend on God’s guidance.

The cleric also stressed the importance of intimacy with God, describing it as a powerful foundation for spiritual stability and courage.

“Intimacy with God is the cure for the fear of men,” he declared, encouraging Christians to deepen their fellowship with God through prayer, the Word and the Holy Spirit.

On sacrificial living, Pastor James urged believers to understand that genuine commitment to God often requires personal sacrifices, noting that those who desire to sustain divine blessings must be willing to make God their priority.

He equally highlighted praise as a spiritual weapon, saying that consistent praise can position believers for victory even in challenging circumstances.

“Praising God is the weapon that guarantees our victory,” he said, citing Psalm 149:6-9.

The cleric described a glorified life as a beautified and satisfied life, stressing that God’s glory should produce visible transformation in the life of a believer.

“Living a glorified life is living a beautified life,” he said, adding that while a person could possess physical beauty without divine glory, genuine glory would inevitably produce a life of beauty and distinction.

He further stated that “until your life pleases the Lord, you cannot walk in the blessings of the Lord,” urging Christians to prioritise obedience and righteous living above the pursuit of material blessings.

Pastor James also identified three major battles Christians must be prepared to fight, namely the fight of faith, the fight of prophecy, and the fight of eternity, drawing references from 1 Timothy 6:12, 1 Timothy 1:18 and 2 Corinthians 10:3-4.

He charged the congregation to remain spiritually vigilant, stressing that sustaining God’s glory requires deliberate commitment and perseverance.

“If you can sustain the glory, you have sustained the blessing,” he declared.

The grand finale brought to a close the 2026 edition of the KABOD Glory Convention, which featured powerful worship sessions, songs and sermon ministrations by an array of anointed men and women of God throughout the week.

The convention attracted worshippers from different parts of Nigeria and beyond, with participants engaging in prayers, worship, biblical teachings and spiritual renewal.

The week-long programme ended on a high spiritual note as the congregation joined the church leadership in celebrating what was described as a season of God’s glory, divine direction and renewed commitment to Christian living.
