Solemn Faith International Church News

The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Home of Praise, Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Matthew James Ele-Ojo, has taught that divine anointing plays a significant role in career advancement, financial prosperity, sound health, sound mind and the fulfilment of destiny.

Pastor Ele-Ojo stated this during the church service on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the church auditorium located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, where he preached on the topic, “Anointing for Career Breakthrough,” with 1 Samuel 16:11–13 and 18–22 as the anchor texts.

The cleric explained that the anointing for career breakthrough can operate through both a person and a place, drawing lessons from the life of David and other biblical accounts. He noted that David’s anointing distinguished him and positioned him for opportunities that were beyond ordinary human connections and protocols.

According to him, career breakthrough is not limited to professional advancement but encompasses three major areas of life: career and finances, health and vitality, and a sound mind.

He explained that divine grace can empower a person to prosper in these areas while maintaining balance and purpose.

Pastor Ele-Ojo, however, emphasised that the anointing must be sustained through a lifestyle that is consistent with God’s will.

He identified holiness, keeping the Word of God, setting one’s affection on God and His kingdom, maintaining an unbroken connection with the source of the anointing and remaining open to the Holy Spirit as key principles for sustaining divine empowerment.

He stressed the importance of affection, explaining that what a person loves and values influences their decisions, giving and associations.

He further said, a believer’s affection towards God should shape their choices, generosity and relationships, because these factors can significantly influence the direction of their future.

The pastor further encouraged members to remain firmly connected to God, describing Him as the ultimate source of every genuine breakthrough.

He also urged believers to remain open to the Holy Spirit, noting that divine guidance and empowerment are essential for fulfilling purpose and navigating life’s opportunities.

Speaking on the relationship between gifts and anointing, Pastor Ele-Ojo declared that if a person’s gift must gain expression and produce meaningful results, divine empowerment is necessary.

He said what is upon a person’s head can either attract people and opportunities or create opposition, stressing the importance of carrying the right spiritual influence.

He further declared that when God remembers a person, human protocols cannot ultimately prevent the manifestation of divine purpose.

He also added, the anointing can cause circumstances and people to cooperate with God’s plan for an individual, turning seasons of struggle into seasons of breakthrough.

The cleric encouraged believers not to be discouraged by past losses or opposition, assuring them that their breakthrough can eventually outweigh and swallow the difficulties they have experienced.

He declared that believers should move from a season of counting losses to a season of recording profit and positive results.

Pastor Ele-Ojo also emphasised that obedience to God does not require extraordinary human strength, pointing out that believers can remain faithful to God’s Word by depending on divine grace.

He maintained that when the Word of God is retained in the heart and consistently practised, breakthroughs can be sustained.

He therefore charged members to examine and correct their affections, stressing that properly directed affection towards God can positively influence decisions and future outcomes.

He declared that decisions have consequences for destinations and urged believers to make choices that align with their divine purpose.

The pastor also stressed the importance of being firmly planted spiritually, explaining that a fresh flow of divine grace is difficult to sustain without a stable connection to its source.

Among his notable declarations were: “If your gift must fly, anointing must be applied,” “When God remembers you, no protocol can hinder you,” “Your breakthrough will swallow what you went through,” and “When God’s Word is retained, breakthroughs are sustained.”

The service was marked by a solemn atmosphere, powerful ministrations and what the church described as massive, mind-blowing testimonies, with worshippers celebrating testimonies of God’s intervention in various areas of their lives.

Pastor Ele-Ojo concluded by urging the congregation to remain connected to God, preserve His Word, maintain holiness, cultivate the right associations and keep their affection firmly centred on God and His kingdom, stressing that sustainable career breakthrough is rooted not only in opportunity but also in divine empowerment, obedience and spiritual stability.
